Ripple has announced its partnership with an international payments firm, Novatti Group, to help the latter in using its XRP-based services. As per Ripple’s announcement, the main focus of the partnership will be on remittances between Australia and the Philippines. It says the remittances will be carried out through iRemit, a financial services company.
Reports say that Novatti expects to use RippleNet and its On-Demand Liquidity (ODL) service to process several thousand transactions every month. In the future, the company plans including the extension of services to other customers as well as other countries.
This partnership news is a notable one, especially at the ongoing SEC (U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission) troubles in the United States. Ripple’s decision of partnering with Novatti shows that the company continues to seek partnerships in a relatively crypto-friendly market such as Asia.
Reports say that the deal with Novatti was initially signed by Ripple back in December 2020. The company revealed the full details of the partnership only this week.
Ripple XRP is performing significantly better in the last couple of weeks. XRP broke an inverse head-and-shoulders formation on April 4, 2021. It helped the crypto rally by around 240% and reach a 3-year high of US$1.98.
